Jean Harry, R.N., Named Chief Nursing OfficerJean S. Harry, R.N., M.S.A., has been named chief nursing officer at Fletcher Allen Health Care following a national search. Harry has been serving in this position on an interim basis for the past six months. Harry has been a member of Fletcher Allen and its predecessor organizations for 20 years. During this time, she has held numerous positions, including staff nurse in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU), breast health specialist, manager of Baird 4, manager of the Breast Care Center, director of Clinical Services for the Medical Group and, most recently, vice president for Nursing Services. She has also been program director for the Hospice Program at the Visiting Nurse Association, Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties. "In my many roles at Fletcher Allen, I have seen firsthand the level of professionalism, flexibility and diversity of our nurses, who work hard every day to meet the needs of our patients," said Harry. "I am excited to be continuing this work as chief nursing officer, working with our nurses as we continue to provide the highest quality patient care." Harry received her Diploma in Nursing from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing in Hartford, CT in 1976, and continued to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Norwich University in Northfield, VT in 1994. She received a Master of Science in Administration from St. Michael's College in Colchester, VT in 2004. Harry lives in Essex Junction with her husband Don. |
