The mission of Fletcher Allen Health Care is to improve the health status of the communities it serves. Fletcher Allen Health Care will:

• Continuously improve the quality, cost, and accessibility of health care for the communities it serves
• Work with other providers, both local and regional to integrate services
• Not restrict the availability or compromise the quality of essential care on any basis
• Integrate its health care services with teaching and research in order to ensure that learning occurs in an environment that stresses prevention and health improvement, patient-focused systems and processes, and the delivery of services that maximize value in a caring environment

We envision Fletcher Allen as an organization committed to improving the health care status of people and contributing to the achievement of healthy communities in the region. We work toward this vision by directly providing health care services, training future health clinicians and developing new knowledge through research. We strive to work collaboratively with other caregivers and organizations in our region in designing new care processes, which will add value to those served. We hold ourselves accountable that our services and programs will be accessible, cost effective and of high quality.
