Keyboard Shortcuts

Use these keyboard shortcuts to assist you with navigating web sites if you prefer not to use a mouse. You may want to print a copy of this page.

Alt + left arrow	Goes back to previous page
Alt + right arrow	Goes forward to next page
Up/Down arrow	Scrolls up/down (or Page Up/Down keys for larger jump)
Home key	Goes to top of page
End key	Goes to bottom of page
Ctrl + B	Displays bookmark file in Navigator, Favorites folder in Internet Explorer(IE)
Ctrl + D	Adds current page to bookmark list or Favorites folder
Ctrl + H	Opens History file (Navigator) or History folder (IE)
Ctrl + L	Opens box for you to type in URL of a new Web page
Ctrl + N	Opens new browser window
Ctrl + R	Reloads current page to refresh information or clear up a ?static' page
Ctrl + W	Closes browser
Ctrl + F	Brings up Find text search box to help you search for a key word within a page

If you've found a site that you really like and would like to view other sites that have linked to it:

Go to AltaVista or Infoseek search engines: altavista.com or infoseek.com

In the Search box, type the following:

Link:<the URL of the site you like>

Hit enter or search

A list will come up of any sites that include a link to your favorite site.
