The Golf Committee, co-chaired by Larry Abrams and Liz Swim, and the Development team are busily planning and preparing for the prestigious 20th Annual Vermont Children’s Hospital Golf Tournament and Children’s Cup Challenge taking place on Monday, July 13, 2009, at the Burlington Country Club. Mark your Calendars TODAY!
The tournament features two shotguns, the first of which is at 7 am and the second at 1 pm. Each is a 4-person scramble complemented by breakfast, lunch, player gifts, an enticing array of silent auction items, and a 19th hole reception. Businesses from Vermont and northern New York partner with us to sponsor various aspects of the golf tournament.
In addition to the tournament, PGA Pros from area golf courses, including the Burlington Country Club, will participate in the 3rd Annual Birdies for Charity event on Sunday, July 12, 2009. The Pros will gather on July 12th for a day on the links. The final scores will be tallied after 18 holes, a total number of birdies and Aces will be determined, and all of the pledges shall be collected to benefit Vermont Children’s Hospital. This event is open to the public and is an exciting opportunity to watch some of Vermont’s finest PGA Pros tee off for a great cause. If you would like to participate or pledge to support one of the pros, contact the Development Office.
The 19th Annual Vermont Children’s Hospital Golf Tournament and Children’s Cup Challenge in 2008 raised over $64,000 on behalf of the patients and families served by Vermont Children’s Hospital. With your generous help and involvement, we are sure to far exceed this in 2009.
If you are interested in registering a team, learning about sponsorship opportunities, or volunteering, please contact the Development Office for more information.
