Our Mission The Fletcher Allen Health Care Foundation solicits philanthropic support for Fletcher Allen in advancement of our mission to improve the health of people in the communities we serve by integrating patient care, education and research in a caring environment.

The Foundation board works closely with Fletcher Allen leaders and staff as well as the community to develop fundraising priorities that will enable us to look to the future and further our vision: we are committed to being a national model for the delivery of high-quality academic health care for a rural region.

In 2008, the Foundation has set a goal of raising $5.5 million, up from the $4.1 million raised in 2007. In addition to the Annual Fund, which supports a variety of ongoing needs at Fletcher Allen, the foundation will focus our efforts on five major areas:

• The Fund for Comprehensive Cardiovascular Services
• The Frederick C. Binter Center for Neurosciences Fund
• The Radiation Oncology Project
• The Fund to Support Emergency Services
• The Children’s Miracle Network at Vermont Children’s Hospital
