The faculty of the Division of Dermatology are engaged in a wide range of clinical research studies. Dr. Goldman and Dr. Krusinski have been principle investigators in major pharmaceutical research studies using biological response modifiers to treat actinic keratoses and psoriasis. We have a clinical research coordinator and staff to support pharmaceutical research studies, and resident participation in these studies is welcomed. Basic science research opportunities are readily available through contacts with the basic science divisions in molecular biology, biochemistry, pathology, and physiology. The College of Medicine has NIH-funded Cancer, Clinical Research, and Obesity and Nutrition Research Centers. The University of Vermont College of Medicine is an outstanding institution which works in close collaboration with Fletcher Allen Health Care. Residents work in close collaboration with medical students who rotate through the Division of Dermatology. |
