Thank you for your interest in the Neurological Surgery Residency Training Program at the University of Vermont.  Our training program currently accepts 1 resident annually.

Beginning in 2009, applications will be submitted using the ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service) system.  A clinical rotation is not required but looked upon favorably.

Interview Day Details

Yearly, 3 interview days are held on Thursdays.  Plan on  arriving Wednesday prior to the interview for a meet and greet dinner with the residents.  You will be met by the residents in the Main Pavilion Lobby at 6pm. 

Thursday morning you will arrive at 8:30 am in the Main Pavilion Lobby where a representative from neurosurgery will meet you and bring you to accompany the Neurosurgery team to morning conferences, including Grand Rounds. 

Interviews will commence following Neuroscience Grand Rounds, at 10:30 am.  Expect interviews to last from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a break for lunch.

Directions

From the South: Interstate 89 North to Exit 14 W (Route 2, Burlington). Continue west on Route 2 and follow signs to the University of Vermont/Fletcher Allen Health Care entrance.

From the airport: Take a left out of the airport onto Airport Drive. At the first light, take a right onto Route 2 West, Williston Road. Continue west on Route 2 for approximately 2 miles and follow signs to the University of Vermont/Fletcher Allen Health Care entrance.
