The Fletcher Allen Volunteer Office is very excited to offer a program called FAVORS, Fletcher Allen Volunteers Offer Room Service. This program is available on the Medical Center Campus.

This program has been created for the comfort and convenience of our patients and their families.

The service has been set up so that a patient, or a staff member on behalf of a patient, can dial 1-2-3 Monday - Friday, from 9-4 p.m. They can request a variety of items which will be delivered to them, such as a newspaper, snacks, magazines, games, books, books on tape, music tapes and CDs or DVD/VHS movies. A volunteer can also shop for them in the Gift Shop, help them fill out menu selections, or visit with them. There is also a Craft Basket and an Activity Basket available.

FAVORS is staffed and operated by Fletcher Allen Volunteers with support from many departments. The Fletcher Allen Auxiliary, Inc. provides funding for equipment.

The program enhances patient satisfaction, improves guest relations, relieves nursing and therapy personnel of non-clinical requests, as well as attracts new volunteers.
