Clinical Trials

Significant clinical and basic science research is conducted by faculty physicians and scientists at Fletcher Allen Health Care and academic health center partner the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Both in the clinic and in the lab, researchers here are advancing knowledge on a wide range of important health care issues.

Clinical research is overseen by the Office of Clinical Trials Research, which was established:

• To help the general public and patients in their search for clinical trials information
• To assist Principal Investigators with the business aspects of clinical research, making it easier for them to balance their diverse responsibilities; and 
• To attract more important research work to the academic health center.
