The Division of General Surgery at Fletcher Allen Health Care is dedicated to excellence in the management of surgical problems, with particular emphasis on gastrointestinal tract disease. A full spectrum of non-operative, endoscopic and surgical treatments are available to provide for a comprehensive diagnostic and treatment plan. Furthermore, our Division is intensely interested in teaching these technologies and approaches to the physicians of tomorrow. Multiple research efforts are underway to evaluate cutting edge treatments and investigate new concepts in the management of gastrointestinal disease. Subspecialties include:
