Pediatric

Community Health Improvement is dedicated to creating and sustaining a safe and healthy environment for our youth.  As such, we work with The Vermont Children's Hospital, the Northern New England Poison Center, Vermont Governor's Highway Safety Program, and a variety of other groups to plan and implement youth-oriented wellness programs.  Take a look at some of our programs below:

	Car Seat Safety We partner with the Vermont Governor's Highway Safety Program to make sure that each child passenger is safe and secure when riding in a vehicle.  For more information on child passenger safety and the Vermont laws on booster seats, click here.
	Hearing Outreach Project (HOP) In an effort to identify infant hearing loss and intervene as soon as possible, all inpatient newborns and children are screened for hearing loss.  For more information on HOP click here.
	Poison Prevention and Education Fletcher Allen partners with the New England Poison Prevention Center to deliver fast and accurate poison information to the community.  For more information on our efforts click here.
