Biography:

Dr. Levy has been at the University of Vermont College of Medicine since 1958 when he joined the institution.  His career epitomizes that of an academic physician with devotion to clinical care, teaching, and research.  Dr,. Levy is the Medical Director of Fletcher Allen Health Care’s Department for Network Development.  He has served on the Board of Directors of the Vermont Affiliate of the American Heart Association.  A specialist in both pediatric and adult cardiology, Dr. Levy has investigated and written on heart conditions in infants, children and adolescents, with particular emphasis on cardiac arrhythmias.  As a result of this research he has developed an international reputation as an expert in the field of cardiac arrhythmias in youth. 

Dr. Levy spent 2 years in London, England as a Visiting Consultant in Cardiology, first at Guy’s Hospital & Medical School and later at the St. Bartholomew’s Hospital & Medical School.   After returning to the University of Vermont in 1974 he initiated the Cardiac Electrophysiology Laboratory that was the first of its kind in New England.
