Education
Over a two year training period, each cardiology fellow will develop the skills to safely supervise electrocardiographic exercise stress tests. In addition, fellows will be trained to accurately interpret and summarize results of electrocardiographic stress tests. Most important, fellows will be familiar with contraindications to exercise stress testing and appropriate indications to terminate an individual test. Training in interpretation will include the concepts of sensitivity, specificity and predictive accuracy of a stress test as they relate to the prevalence of disease in selected groups.
