						Primary Care Internal Medicine at Fletcher Allen Health is staffed by board certified general internal medicine physicians and nurse practitioners at four practice sites through Chittenden County and an inpatient/consultation service at the hospital. As the academic division for General Internal Medicine, we are actively involved in the teaching of residents and medical students.  Several of our members actively participate in research projects including diabetes, depression, and patient safety. We offer high quality comprehensive medical care for adults including physical examinations, acute illnesses, chronic problems, gynecologic care, health screening and counseling.  We have an active inpatient service in collaboration with the specialists at Fletcher Allen Health Care.  Aesculapius Medical Center and the Given Health Care Center at 1 South Prospect Street have an on-site laboratory. Referrals for evaluation are best accomplished by calling the general internist selected directly or through the Provider Access Service (PAS) at 1-800-639-2480 or location at 847-2700.
