The Division of Neurosurgery at Fletcher Allen Health Care is devoted to the evaluation and treatment of neurological diseases in children and adults. We use a full range of medical and neurosurgical technologies to provide the most up-to-date and effective treatment for the entire spectrum of neurological diseases.

The Division of Neurosurgery has a full complement of neurosurgeons who are devoted to the care of patients with neurosurgical diseases as well as committing their efforts to progressing academic medicine.  The Division of Neurosurgery is also devoted to post-graduate training of Neurosurgical residents and the teaching of medical and allied health students.

Neurosurgery has been divided into sub-specialty programs to enable us to provide the most up-to-date care for our patients.  Our team of neurosurgeons offers multidisciplinary outpatient, inpatient, and surgical care, for patients with:

• Head, spinal cord or peripheral nerve injury
• Cerebrovascular and Skull Base tumor problems
• Brain, Spinal Cord and Peripheral Nerve tumors
• Degenerative spine disease
• Epilepsy and movement disorders
• Pituitary disorders
• Pediatric Neurosurgical disorders

Neurosurgery is a demanding multidisciplinary effort. Experienced and highly trained neurosurgeons, nurses, and support staff help work with patients, their family and friends through evaluations, operations, and post-surgical follow-ups to assure a high quality care.
