Fletcher Allen Health Care is recognized as a Level I Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons.  The Division of Neurosurgery provides 24 hour emergency neurosurgical trauma care.  In conjuction with the Division of Trauma, we provide serve most areas of Vermont and surrounding areas in upstate New York.  Our staff neurosurgeons are experienced in blunt and penetrating traumatic injury to the head and spine.    Our intensive care unit is dedicated to provide highly specialized and advanced care for patients suffering trauma.
