Training Programs
School of Cytotechology
The Fletcher Allen Health Care School of Cytotechnology is the only accredited cytotechnology educational program in Northern New England. The twelve month hospital-based program has graduated over 130 students since its inception in 1970. The majority of students have secured employment prior to the end of the program. Graduates of the School have performed extremely well on the ASCP Registry Examination in Cytotechnology.
Residency Training
Residents graduating from our program will be knowledgeable and marketable through flexible and balanced training aimed at cultivating excellent diagnostic, consultative, investigative and management skills to prepare for outstanding careers in academic or private practice, as well as success in obtaining board certification.
School of Biomedical Technologies
The Biomedical Technologies Department is located on the main campus of the University of Vermont. The Biomedical Technology curriculum places special emphasis on the application of molecular biology and laboratory science to the biomedical research industry. Biomedical Technologists have a firm grounding in the basic sciences and extensive hands-on experience in laboratory sciences.
