Fletcher Allen Health Care (FAHC) was formed on January 1, 1995 as the result of a merger between the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont (MCHV), Fanny Allen Hospital (FAH), and the University Health Center (UHC), with the University of Vermont (UVM) as an affiliated partner.

To deliver excellent pathology and laboratory services to support the patient care mission of Fletcher Allen and other regional organizations, support clinically relevant research and education, and provide consultative services within its areas of expertise.
