Team Mission
The Hand Rehabilitation Center is committed to care of the person with injury or disease of the hand and upper extremity. We dedicate ourselves to the education of the community and other professionals in rehabilitation of the upper extremity and to research efforts designed to improve our outcomes.
Our Staff
Our staff of three certified hand therapists and one hand therapy specialist will provide your care. Our staff brings over 40 years of experience in specialized treatment of the hand and upper extremity to your care.
We specialize in the care of:
Acute Injury (fractures or lacerations)
- Tendon and Nerve Repairs
- Reconstruction of Old Injuries
- Congenital Problems
- Arthritis
- Infection
- Growths or Tumors
- Nerve Compression (such as carpal tunnel)
- Overuse Syndrome
- Tendon Inflammation
Our Services
We provide comprehensive rehabilitation plans for both surgical and non-surgical cases. Our staff works closely with the Hand and Microsurgery Service at Fletcher Allen Health Care; however, referrals from all providers are accepted. Your individual plan of care will be formulated following a complete evaluation and assessment. This plan is closely coordinated with you and your physician. Goals are set to address your specific needs and speed your return to independence. Best results are achieved when the patient assumes an active role in therapy, therefore, a home exercise program is usually recommended. Appointments can be scheduled through our direct scheduling number at (802) 847-7910. We accept most insurance plans and are a licensed DME vendor. We will work with all patients to obtain approval for their rehabilitation needs.
