Our Multidisciplinary Stroke Center offers comprehensive care from prevention to rehabilitation with treatment options and therapies centered-around the needs of the patient.

• Acute stroke care: Time is of the essence in stroke treatment to reduce damage to the brain. Fletcher Allen’s expert acute stroke intervention team is ready to respond to stroke emergencies with immediate treatment. more>>

• Post-stroke care: Our comprehensive rehabilitation team is devoted to helping individuals who suffer a stroke regain their independence to whatever extent possible. When necessary, our excellent palliative care team provides end-of-life care, and our social workers are available to provide counseling to family members. more>>

• Stroke education and prevention: Fletcher Allen offers a number of nutrition, smoking cessation and other educational programs in which individuals can reduce their risk of stroke and other health concerns. Fletcher Allen also provides programs to reduce risk of a stroke recurrence. more>>
