Services
Psychological Evaluation (clinical interview and appropriate psychological testing):
- Individuals or couples seeking infertility care.
- Individuals considering use of donor eggs or donor sperm.
Brief cognitive - behavioral therapy can be a 4 - 10 session treatment in which the patient is encouraged to learn how to handle the challenges of medical or personal issues. Individuals are taught to identify their own internal resources for coping with the disturbance, and to make realistic behavioral changes which will facilitate a return to mental and physical well-being.
Typical presenting issues include:
- Infertility
- Miscarriage
- Postpartum depression
- Changes in sexual function
- Sexually transmitted disease
- Adjusting to cancer
- Relationship conflict
- Death of significant other
- Low self-esteem
- Poor body image
- Anxiety
- Menopause
- Aging
Stress Management
Relaxation and visualization exercises taught to patients as needed for infertility procedures, perimenopausal symptoms, and general anxiety.

Infertility Support Group:
Open-ended group meets the first Wednesday of each month
