RESIDENCY PROGRAM
Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program
Women's Health Care Service at Fletcher Allen Health Care and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine offer an accredited four year residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology dedicated to the development of outstanding clinicians. The strong clinical experience is complemented by a protected didactic series, with an emphasis on the understanding of disease pathophysiology and treatment. Teaching is provided by both community and university based faculty, with ample conference time dedicated to case review embedded within each clinical rotation. As the only tertiary care center in the region, the patient base has remained is stable, providing extensive obstetrical and surgical experience. Read more here from our academic site.
FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMS
Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program
A three year fellowship program in Maternal Fetal Medicine is offered by the Women's Health Care Service at Fletcher Allen Health Care and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. The program is designed to develop clinician-scientists able to perform research, teach, and provide state-of-the-art subspecialty care. The program is divided into 18 months of research and 18 months of clinical practice. Research opportunities include basic and clinical research. Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship Program
A three year fellowship program in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is offered by the Women's Health Care Service at Fletcher Allen Health Care and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. This program provides experiences in reproductive surgery, assisted reproductive technologies, and the management of infertility, reproductive endocrinology, medical endocrinology, and pediatric endocrinology. Fellows develop expertise in clinical and basic science research. Working in the academic medical center, the fellow develops skills in the education of residents and medical students that will prepare him/her for a career in academic medicine.
