Birthing Center and Maternity Services
At Fletcher Allen Health Care, we consider it a privilege to participate in your childbirth experience and to share in the unfolding drama of life renewed. We offer all aspects of health and wellness care to women, including a flexible and supportive environment which allows for a variety of childbirth alternatives.
Colposcopy
For over 25 years, the Colposcopy Clinic has striven to comprehensively evaluate abnormalities of the cervix, vulva and vagina (the lower genital tract). The key to successful detection and treatment of abnormalities is finding them early.
Gynecologic Oncology
Our mission is to provide personal care for women with gynecologic malignancies. In addition, we carry out Gynecologic Oncology Group research protocols, clinical and basic science research in different areas of gynecologic cancers.
Gynecologic Services
Gynecologic Services are offered to women for normal annual Gyn exams for the full range of Gyn problems including dysfunctional uterine bleeding, pelvic pain, dysmenorrhea, dyspareunia and all aspects of menopausal care.
Maternal Fetal Medicine
The mission of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Service is to provide care for all types of maternal or fetal complications. Maternal Fetal Medicine Service physicians strive to improve women's health by the early detection and treatment of various medical disorders and complications of pregnancy.
Nurse Midwifery
The Claire M. Lintilhac Nurse Midwifery Service is proud of its long standing history caring for women and their families in Vermont. The Nurse Midwifery Service provides personalized care throughout a woman's life, including the childbearing cycle, normal gynecology, and family planning. We recognize that each woman/family has individual psycho-emotional needs. We support each woman's right to active participation in her care, self-determination and education about her health.
Obstetrical Ultrasound
Ultrasound offers a real-time, comprehensive way to assess the fetus. It is a tool that can help determine the dating of a pregnancy, identify fetuses with abnormalities and evaluate the position and health of the placenta (afterbirth). In addition to routine assessment, we offer specialized ultrasound services.
Psychological Services for Women
The Women's Health Care Service offers on-site psychological services provided by a Ph.D. psychologist licensed at the doctoral level. She is a medical psychologist with post-doctoral training in women's health issues.
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
It is the mission of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility specialists to provide expert care for women with complex hormonal concerns, and for couples who are attempting pregnancy.
Urogynecology
Urogynecology Services offers diagnosis of disorders that cause incontinence - the involuntary loss of urine associated with physical activity, urgency or both. We offer diagnosis through sophisticated testing procedures and a number of non-surgical treatment options including but not limited to pelvic floor muscle strengthening (Kegel) exercises, biofeedback and electrical stimulation therapy.
Vermont Center for Reproductive Medicine
The Vermont Center for Reproductive Medicine provides advanced reproductive care to infertile couples with a high degree of personal interaction and compassion.
Vermont Perinatal Care
Vermont Perinatal Care is a group of experienced obstetricians who joined to provide comprehensive obstetrical and postpartum care for you and your family. Our physicians are certified in general obstetrics and gynecology. Additionally, some of our practicing physicians have advanced training in pregnancy complications and can advise women with higher-risk pregnancies.
Vulvovaginitis
The Vulvovaginal Disease service sees women with acute, recurrent, and difficult diagnostic vaginitis problems, vulvar dermatoses, and vulvodynia (vulvar burning).
