Welcome
One year Fellowship in Body Imaging, Body CT, Ultrasound, and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. The Fellowship is based at Fletcher Allen Health Care (FAHC), the primary teaching hospital for the University of Vermont College of Medicine. Fletcher Allen is a tertiary referral center for the State of Vermont and upstate New York. The goal of this program is to create practitioners of radiology who will be well versed in interpretive skills, performing skills, administrative skills, and consultative and correlative skills necessary to function in an imaging department of the twenty first century. Currently, state-of-the-art equipment is available for all modern imaging modalities, including a 3T MRI and several multislice CTs, including a 64 slice scanner.
Training will be provided in all areas of MRI and Body Imaging including Musculoskeletal, Chest, GU, Abdominal, Pediatrics, Vascular, and Obstetrics and Gynecology. The Fellowship includes interventional imaging, and the Fellow will be trained in percutaneous nephrostomies, tumor aspirations, and abscess drainages. Teaching responsibilities include conferences with the Radiology residents and medical students as well as appropriate interactive conferences with referring clinical services. All applicants must be certified by the American Board of Radiology or be Board-eligible. Eligibility for licensure in the State of Vermont is also required.
